We do things differently we watch how people operate.

This is not a course, not a certification  this is a responsibility process before any authority.

Why This Exists

Well-run events don’t happen by accident.
They rely on people who:
  • Pay attention when others drift
  • Stay composed under pressure
  • Act without needing to be chased
  • Take ownership without needing a title
Event Support & Operations exists to identify those people in real conditions, not hypothetical ones.

There is no hype here.
Just clear expectations.

What the Role Involves

You may be asked to assist with:
  • Timekeeping and schedule awareness
  • Monitoring safety, space, and flow
  • Coordinating movement between areas
  • ​Observing activity and flagging issues early
  • ​Assisting with setup, breakdown, and logistics
  • ​General event support as required
Tasks are assigned based on need, not preference.  There are no titles and no hierarchy games.

Commitment Expectations

If selected, you are expected to:
  • Arrive early
  • Stay until the event is finished
  • Help where needed without fuss
  • ​Operate independently once expectations are clear
  • ​Maintain focus and professionalism throughout the day​
If you require constant direction, reminders, or reassurance, this is not a good fit.
A Note on Refereeing & Judging
All referees and judges working DEEN events, without exception, first come through Event Support & Operations.

This allows us to observe how people operate in a live environment before assigning authority or decision-making responsibility.

Progression into officiating roles:
  • is not applied for
  • is not guaranteed
  • is not accelerated by interest or prior experience
It is by invitation only and based on conduct, consistency, and trust demonstrated over time.

This process applies to everyone.

What This Is NOT

This is not:
  • A course
  • A qualification
  • A pathway
  • ​A leadership programme
  • ​A networking opportunity
There are no guarantees, outcomes, or follow-on opportunities promised.

This exists for one reason only:
to help events function properly.
